Hiro Hayashi
Originally from Gifu, Japan, Hiro moved to London over 26years ago to pursue his career in hairdressing. After completing his apprenticeship at Stage Door Salon in Covent Garden, he spent more than a decade as a stylist at Paul Matthew Hairdressing before moving into education.
Since then, Hiro has worked and taught at some of the industry’s most respected salons and academies, including Propaganda Hair, Ora Salon (now Ena/Allilon), Transition Salon and Academy, Mazella&Palmer, and Gary Ingham Aveda. Over the last decade, he has also travelled extensively across Europe, collaborating with leading educators and sharing his knowledge with students worldwide.
Today, Hiro is part of Mazella & Partners, working closely with Jean-Baptiste Mazella to deliver world-class haircutting education through courses and workshops across the UK and internationally. His teaching is known for being clear, structured, and practical—helping professionals of all levels refine their technique and elevate their craft.
Alongside his education work, Hiro continues at Gary Ingham Aveda salon, where he serves clients and leads the artistic team, ensuring his teaching remains firmly connected to real salon life.
